Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and developed a passion of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then attended an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. Felix set a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in the events.
